Dan Loeb
Third Point CEO Dan Loeb has sure shown a flair for art. In a recent Sotheby's auction, Loeb auctioned a piece by Jeff Koons entitled "Baroque Egg with Bow (Turquoise/Magenta)." Though the work's $5.5 million sale price was below the $6 million to $8 million it was expected to fetch, the price still represented a handsome profit for Loeb, who paid $3 million for it in 2004.
