Julian Robertson, whom Australia's Brisbane Times recently called the "Lord of the Lodges," has used some of the lucre from his bulging Tiger Management kitty to purchase a third lodge near Queenstown on New Zealand's South Island. The Matakauri Lodge, on Lake Wakatipu, offers four suites and six villas for prices starting at $1,345 a night. Robertson's other New Zealand properties include Kauri Cliffs and The Farm at Cape Kidnappers - home to what Golf Magazine calls the fourth best golf course.
