Liu is hoping to hire a China specialist to manage the second fund.

Former SAC Capital Management portfolio manager John Liu is looking for someone to run his second hedge fund, but U.S. nationals need not apply.

Liu is hoping to hire a China specialist to manage the second fund from his startup hedge fund firm, Han Capital Management, and he's scouring mainland China for someone with extensive experience in the Chinese market. Liu said he would rather appoint a Chinese national with existing relationships than a portfolio manager in the United States. The fund, which is expected to launch by midyear, will seek to profit from quick exits out of initial public offerings. Han Capital also plans to hire three or four new analysts. The firm's first fund launched in November with less than $200 million.
