Billionaires Warren Buffett and Bill Gates have persuaded several legendary hedge fund managers to join them in "The Giving Pledge," which urges the überrich to give away a majority of their wealth either during their lifetime or after their death. Managers who took the pledge include Renaissance Technologies founder Jim Simons; Tiger Management founder Julian Robertson; and BP Capital Management founder T. Boone Pickens.
